All donations of stocks and securities are exempt from capital gains tax. A donation of publicly traded securities is one of the easiest ways to make an impact and support the ongoing care of residents at Hillel Lodge.

Simply follow these steps:

  1. Download and complete the transfer of shares form
  2. Notify us of your gift by contacting the Foundation office at 613-728-3990
  3. Contact your broker or investment advisor to request the transfer of stock and provide them with the transfer of shares form or the information on the form.
  4. Once we receive the transfer of shares we will notify you and confirm the amount of your charitable tax receipt.
