Our Resident Services Coordinator, Julie Mitchell will generally be your first point of contact with Hillel Lodge, and she will continue to be available to you throughout your stay.  Julie is joined by Shannon Fraser, who holds a Master of Social Work specializing in Gerontology and Palliative Care and leads the Social Work Department as part of her role as Interim Director of Social Work, Program and Support Services.

Our Social Work Department is available during daytime business hours, Monday through Friday. Our Resident Services Coordinator facilitates initial and annual care conferences, ad hoc family meetings and caregiver support groups, and can be called upon for support at any time.

Our Social Work Department works regularly with all residents, assessing changes in cognition and circumstances. They will work with you and your family when additional care is needed.

In addition, transition, supportive counselling, and end of life planning are all offered by the Social Work Department at Hillel Lodge.

Our Social Work team is always available to help you and your family obtain information about financial matters, including referrals to community resources and government programs, as required.
