Each year we get together for a fun-filled afternoon playing games such as Bridge, Mah Jongg, Canasta, Poker, Scrabble, etc. while enjoying a silent auction, delicious refreshments, and the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new ones!
Games Day Chair Aliza Gauzas shared, “Auxiliary members wanted a new fundraiser to support the Lodge residents. We were thrilled when the first games day event was a huge success attracting nearly 150 attendees on October 25th despite the challenges of October 7th.”
The event quickly gained traction, with over a 20% increase in attendance in 2024, leading to the addition of a silent auction alongside the existing raffle, as well as delectable treats generously donated by Cater4U.
The Auxiliary of Hillel Lodge is delighted to share the remarkable success of our 3rd Annual Great Games Event this past November 2025. In our 60th year of dedicated service, last year’s event drew a great crowd of 200 enthusiastic participants and achieved an extraordinary fundraising milestone—$10,000 more than last year—through general attendance, our silent auction and raffle, table sponsorships, and individual generous donations.
Proceeds from the event will support the Auxiliary's funding for special projects at Hillel Lodge, aimed at enhancing the lives of our residents. Learn more about our initiatives here.
An event of this scale is only possible thanks to our devoted volunteers, some of whom began planning for next year the day after the event.
The 4th annual Great Games event will be held on Sunday, October 18th, 2026. We hope to see you then!
