Family Council

Family Council is an organized group composed mainly of family members but may also include other people of importance to residents of Hillel Lodge (including persons with power of attorney). The Council is mandated in all long term care facilities by the Ministry of Health but is not part of the staff.

Family Council meets monthly in Hillel Lodge and provides a place for where you can discuss matters affecting the comfort and safety of residents generally.  Members can often offer support and information based on similar personal experience. In addition, the Council can forward suggestions and ask questions of Hillel Lodge staff.
