Learn more about the Long-Term Care Home Complaint Process.
Long-term care facilities, or nursing homes as they are often referred to, are designed for ailing individuals who don’t need to be in a hospital but can’t be cared for at home or in an independent living facility due to physical or psychological limitations. Long-term facilities provide around-the-clock nursing and personal care services.
People living in retirement properties and/or age-restricted communities are typically more active and don’t require as much individual care.
Experienced nursing personnel, including registered nurses, registered practical nurses, and personal support workers, are on duty at Hillel Lodge. Qualified personnel, dietary staff, administrative support workers, recreation staff, and compassionate community volunteers provide additional services.
Professional nursing staff and personal support workers are on hand to assist each resident with their bathing and hygiene needs. The level of assistance offered to each resident is based on the individual’s level of independence and the amount of assistance needed or requested. Showers and baths are offered on a regular schedule.
Absolutely! Residents are encouraged to invite their friends and family to visit during reasonable visiting hours. This is their home!
