Nutritional Assessments

Nutritional assessments are conducted upon admission and quarterly, or as needed, under the guidance of the registered dietitian. During the admission process, the team gathers resident food preferences and monitors key aspects such as weight, food and fluid intake, chewing and swallowing abilities, and any specific dietary requirements.

The staff is dedicated to respecting each resident's likes and dislikes, offering modified and therapeutic diets as needed. They also assess any difficulties with chewing or swallowing, providing texture modifications that allow residents to continue enjoying their favorite foods.

The team uses MealSuite person-centred dining solution software to accurately document residents' likes, dislikes, allergens, and dietary needs. This ensures that the appropriate meal is delivered each time. Integrated with the Point Click Care system, MealSuite enables our registered dietitian to easily input individualized dietary information, accessible to staff during table-side ordering. This collaborative approach guarantees that every meal meets nutritional standards while aligning with each resident's preferences and needs, resulting in a truly personalized dining experience.
