Religious and Spiritual Services
At The Bess and Moe Greenberg Family Hillel Lodge Long-Term Care Home of Ottawa (Hillel Lodge), we proudly serve as a Jewish cultural home while warmly welcoming residents from all faiths and backgrounds. We honour each resident’s right to celebrate their faith and strive to meet their spiritual requirements within their religious affiliation. Upon admission, we conduct a spiritual care assessment to better understand each resident’s individual spiritual and religious needs.
Our on-site synagogue offers a dedicated space for residents to attend services during Shabbat and High Holidays, where Rabbis lead worship and provide guidance on Jewish practices.
Our Coordinator of Pastoral Services, Rabbi Levy Teitlebaum leads synagogue servives and is available for spiritual support..
Additionally, visiting clergy members are on hand to assist during times of need, illness, grief, or palliative care. Pastoral visits can be arranged upon request or organized individually through our Life Enrichment Manager.
Our commitment is to create an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates the diverse beliefs of all our residents.
