The Auxiliary of Hillel Lodge

MANDATE

Our mandate is simple yet important…We are dedicated to improving the lives of residents of Hillel Lodge and making every day a little brighter.

 Functioning autonomously, the Auxiliary provides services and raises funds needed for the many extras that bring comfort and enjoyment to our residents.

WHO ARE WE?

•A committed group of energetic volunteers who donate their time to help create an atmosphere to celebrate birthdays and Jewish holidays such as Sukkot, Chanukah and Purim.

•Annually, the Auxiliary supports special projects such as:

• The Lodge’s Dream Garden for residents to enjoy the outdoors!
• Refurbishment of the third-floor neighbourhood lounges.
• Bath and shower lifts, and more!

HOW DO WE HELP?

•With In-person visits to residents

•By providing flowers on Shabbat and gifts for Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day, to name a few.

•By fundraising

FUNDRAISERS

•Annual Telethon – Held every May through August.

•Annual Great Games Event – Held in late October.

•Sale of Mah Jongg Cards –  Annually in December.

•Tribute Cards – A package of five is $36 and $12 per card written and sent out by Rena Cohen: 613.828.5070.
